ATA AWARD Ceremony

 A warm welcome to the Andersen Teacher's Award – to all of you ATA winners from China, and all of you who have traveled the long way from China to Odense. 

A special welcome to Mr. Dong, who for many years tirelessly has fought for his vision of bringing kindergarten and schoolteachers from China to Denmark to learn about Danish values and especially learn about our world-famous poet Hans Christian Andersen, his life and the wisdom of his fairy tales. 

Dong has worked closely with Nordfyns Folkehøjskole, in particular with former headmaster Mogens Godballe, member of the ATA committee. 

And a big thank you goes to Hans Christian Andersen Museum, which has made it possible so that we can have this award ceremony here in the Memory Hall in the old part of Hans Christian Andersen House. 

The house was partially demolished a few years ago, and a new building was built with a completely different concept for more than  50 million USD, designed by Japanese star architect Kengo Kuma. 

The love between Andersen and China was mutual. Although he never visited your great country, he was deeply fascinated by Chinese culture since he was a little boy. He had heard that China lay just below the Odense River. 

This made him fantasize about a Chinese prince who dug his way through the earth, and heard little Hans Christian singing, and then took him to his Chinese kingdom. 

The prince would then, Andersen said: "... make me rich and distinguished, but then allowed me to visit Odense, where I wanted to live and build a castle," he wrote in his autobiography "My Life's Adventure". 

Ladies and gentlemen, in a few minutes we will celebrate the ATA winners and celebrate with a glass of champagne, sponsored by Hans Christian Andersen House. 

And now I will ask all 2026 ATA winners to come up here and sit in a nice row.

致辞人：欧登塞市前副市长市议员 埃里克·西蒙森 

热烈欢迎各位来到安徒生教师奖的典礼现场！欢迎所有来自中国的ATA获奖教师，欢迎各位不远万里，从中国来到欧登塞。 

特别欢迎董先生。多年以来，他一直为自己的理想不懈奔走：把中国的幼教与中小学教师带到丹麦，了解丹麦的人文理念，尤其是走近我们举世闻名的诗人汉斯·克里斯蒂安·安徒生，读懂他的一生，读懂童话里蕴藏的智慧。 

董先生长期与北菲茵民众学院紧密合作，特别是和学院前任校长、ATA委员会成员摩根·戈德巴勒携手同行。 

同时，非常感谢安徒生博物馆，让我们得以在安徒生故居老馆的记忆大厅举办这场颁奖典礼。 

数年前，安徒生故居的部分建筑被拆除，日本著名建筑师隈研吾主持设计了全新的展馆，耗资超过5000万美元，理念焕然一新。 

安徒生与中国之间，是一份双向的眷恋。安徒生本人从未踏上中国这片伟大的土地，但自童年起，他就深深着迷于中国文化。他曾听说，中国就在欧登塞河的下游彼岸。 

这份遐想催生了他一个浪漫的想象：有一位中国王子，掘开大地，听见小安徒生的歌声，便将他带到自己的东方王国。 

安徒生在自传《我的一生奇遇》里写下，这位王子许诺他：“我会让你富足、受人敬重，同时允诺你回到欧登塞，在那里安家，建造一座属于你的城堡。” 

女士们、先生们，片刻之后，我们将为ATA获奖教师颁奖庆祝，安徒生故居还为我们准备了香槟。
